On the next day, we did that we wanted. We had a breakfast on the Shallow Bay Beach (It was awesome!!!! ) and had a small tour of the Western Brook Pond. The pictures will tell the story. But one situation I'm going to describe you and you will understand why. So, the day began with Shallow Bay beach:
The most impressive thing about this beach is that you can go really far from shore, deep into the ocean, and still water will cover just you legs. Do you see small dot in the middle of the picture? This is how far a person was able to walk.
Next, we went to the Western Brook Pond. The tour was starting at 12:30, but we came much earlier. From parking lot to the pier we walked about 2 may be 2,5 km.
It was not so bad, we were lucky: weather was perfect, warm and without rain, sunny. One important advise: make a reservation for the tour!!!! As you can guess, we did not .... We came to the pier 40 minutes before the tour. It was crowded. We walked around and missed the moment when stuff started to sell tickets :-( When it was our tern to buy a place on a ship all tickets were sold out.... We were confused: we must go back to St.John's today, tomorrow we have to go to work, we spend two days on the road and can not see Western Brook Pond - the most impressive and gorgeous place in the World?
The officer said that if people who did the reservation do not come we can have their seats, but we should wait until last moment, until 12:30. Can you imagine how we prayed and wanted to have this seats? Besides, we were not along, there were several people like us! To our luck we were first in the line.
Hallelujah!!! People did not came and we had this tickets. We were the happiest couple at that moment :-) Unfortunately, people behind us were not so lucky :-( Advise of the day: make a reservation!!!
I dreamed to see Norwegian fjords all of my life; I guess they look very similar:
It was such a satisfied and remarkable trip!!!
I just have one question to those who were in the Norwegian fjords, is it really similar?
